Amarone Classico Riserva – Octavius DOCG

The Octavius represents the most refined and powerful expression of the Amarone Classico, the result of historic vineyards located in the heart of the most authentic Valpolicella. The vines, about 40 years old, are trained using the traditional Pergola Veronese system and give life to an extraordinary wine, produced only in the best vintages.

After a careful manual selection, the Corvina (40%), Corvinone (40%), Rondinella (10%), and other native varieties (10%) grapes are left to dry for at least 120 days, concentrating aromas and structure. The vinification follows tradition, with a long aging of over 48 months in French oak tonneaux, followed by 8-12 months of bottle rest.

Intense ruby red color with orange reflections, on the nose it releases complex aromas of cherry in spirit, vanilla, nutmeg, and cocoa, enriched by ethereal notes of cloves, dried flowers, and dried plum. On the palate, it is powerful and enveloping, with extraordinary persistence and an elegant, velvety structure.

Food Pairings
Perfect with braised meats, game, red meats, and stews, it pairs beautifully with aged cheeses accompanied by jams or honey. It also enhances dark chocolate-based desserts or red fruit tarts.
